About Me
You may wonder why I started Lakeshore Financial Solutions. Years ago, after being issued a 30-day notice requiring my family of five to relocate unexpectedly and without cause, I realized the importance of understanding my finances and the credit system. From that understanding, my journey to credit restoration began. My husband and I were the first Lakeshore Financial Solutions customers. I worked tirelessly to restore our credit and we became first-time homeowners in 2018.
One of the major lessons I learned is that without a positive credit rating, my options and opportunities would be limited. If I was experiencing these financial struggles, others likely are too. This made me determined to build a business that could help others become financially literate and build wealth. My work also allows me to model for my children how to make good financial choices as they transition into adulthood and their own financial lives.
Lakeshore Financial Solutions is built on more than just good wishes and a passion for helping others. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University (Allendale, MI) and an undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from St. Xavier University (Chicago, IL). I am a Certified Financial Social Work (CFSW) through the Center for Financial Social Work (Huntersville, NC). These educational experiences, along with my personal ones, have prepared me to help my clients navigate their way to credit restoration and financial freedom.
I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. Financial literacy is just something that I was not exposed to growing up. My husband, three children and I moved to Holland, MI in June 2011. West Michigan will always have a special place in my heart because it’s here that we purchased our first home, which marked a milestone of financial stability for us. Our goal here is to help clients feel that same feeling of accomplishment!
Welcome to Lakeshore Financial Solutions.
